    Horchata Frosting

    May is full of great traditional family celebrations. Make your celebrations memorable with the sweet and delicious Horchata taste in your favorite dessert.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 package Natura’s Horchata mix
    • 1 1/2 cup unsalted butter, soften
    • 2 cups sifted sugar
    • Salt
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract


    Directions:

    • Prepare Natura’s Horchata according to directions: Add 2-3 tbs to an 8 oz glass of water ( one bag yields 1/2 gallon)
    • Heat 2/3 cups prepared Natura’s Horchata in a small sauce pan at low heat
    • Bring it to boil at low heat for about 10 minutes. Reduce to about 4 tbs.
    • Remove the top layer of the Horchata and let it rest until it’s at room temperature.
    • In a mixer, add butter, sifted sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla. Mix for about a minute until a soft mixture is formed.
    • Add 2 tbs of the reduced Horchata and mix throughout. Add another tbs to taste to get a more intense flavor.
    • Frost cake.
